Recently I bought two small form factor office PCs for only 60 bucks each from Facebook Marketplace.
I put another around 160 bucks worth of upgrades. It can be cheaper if you buy a smaller capacity SSD, RAM, or using used parts.
Dell Optiplex 3040 SFF powered by Intel 6th Gen Skylake i5 6500 Quad Core 3.2 GHz
Pros: Easier to tear up and access all of the parts. Has an internal speaker and 1 intake fan for better cooling.
Upgraded specs: 16 GB DDR3L 1600mhz, 512GB SSD in an HDD Caddy. I also put my spare HDD.
HP Slimline 270 p-033W Intel 7th Gen Kabylake Celeron G3930 Dual Core 2.9 Ghz
Pros: has one slot of M.2 NVME, a USB-C port, SD card reader, and a wifi and Bluetooth card.
Upgraded specs: 16 GB DDR4 2666mhz, 512 GB SSD in an HDD Caddy, and an NVME 512 GB.
The PSU is only 180W on both PC. And the case is very small that can only fit a single slot GPU. Seeing these limitations, we can only put a 30W-Nvidia Geforce GT 1030 low profile (LP)
Now, you can game on it!
