Today I am sharing a delicious and easy Mutton Fry recipe. This recipe is full of traditional flavors and made with simple spices available at home. If you love mutton recipes, do try this one.
Ingredients
Mutton — 1 kg
Oil — 1/4 cup
Onion — 1 medium (sliced)
Salt — 1 tsp (or to taste)
Turmeric Powder — 1/2 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste — 1 tbsp
Red Chilli Powder — 1/2 tsp
Green Chillies — 2-3
Fresh Coriander — for garnish
Whole Spices (For Dry Roasting)
Whole Red Chillies — 4
Green Cardamom — 2
Cinnamon Sticks — 2 small pieces
Black Pepper — few
Coriander Seeds — 1/2 tsp
White Cumin Seeds — 1/2 tsp
Fennel Seeds — 1/2 tsp
Method
Step 1
Add mutton to a pan.
Add water, salt, turmeric powder, and ginger garlic paste.
Cook for about 20 minutes or until the mutton becomes tender.
Step 2
Dry roast all whole spices until aromatic.
Let them cool and grind them coarsely.
Step 3
Heat 1/4 cup oil in a pan.
Add sliced onion and fry until light golden.
Step 4
Add boiled mutton along with its stock.
Add red chilli powder and prepared ground spices.
Cook on medium heat.
Step 5
Cook until the gravy dries and oil starts separating.
Add green chillies.
Step 6
Turn off the flame.
Garnish with fresh coriander and cover for 2 minutes.
