Mother Teresa's Roses, led by Sister Christobel, is a unique charity movement in Mumbai, India that reaches out to the poorest of the poor on the streets. The voluntary members of this non-profit organization are free to choose to contribute in any which way they are comfortable, and are designated according to five colors of roses—the white roses pray, pink roses organize groups and maintain kits and statistics for each month, yellow roses cook and bring packets of food to be distributed to the poor, orange roses donate in cash or kind, while the red roses literally roll up their sleeves and travel across the city of Mumbai to give the poor a bath, feed them and clean their wounds.
In this video, Sister Christobel describes the spread of the Mothers Teresa's Roses movement in Mumbai and how the non-profit organization has taken up the mantle of serving people who have been neglected and abandoned on the streets to die.
