First Reading: Isaiah 58:7-10 - A call to true fasting and sharing with the needy, promising God's presence and guidance.
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 112:4-5, 6-7, 8-9 - A psalm praising the just, who are generous and compassionate.
Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 - Paul's humility and reliance on God's power in preaching the Gospel.
Gospel: Matthew 5:13-16 - Jesus teaches about being salt and light, calling us to influence the world.
The readings focus on themes of compassion, humility, and being a positive influence. -
