DETAILS:
On August 27th, 2025, at 10:35 PM, Residents in the 1200 Block of Michigan Street in Grand Terrace were awoken by the sounds of flowing water from a significant water main break.
The Riverside Highland Water Company responded to the scene and was able to shut off the water, but not before causing significant damage to at least two homes.
One home has a sunken living room with at least 5-10 inches of water and mud throughout the home.
Another home reported water damage to their kitchen and living room.
Water has been turned off to the surrounding neighborhood, with no estimated completion time for the repairs.
Michigan Street has been closed in both directions between Van Buren Street and Pico Street due to the
