I never thought much about app updates.
That night, my phone asked me to accept a new set of terms and conditions. I skimmed them like everyone else. At first, nothing seemed unusual.
Then the update started describing things it shouldn’t have known.
What I was wearing. Where I was standing. What I was about to hear.
This is one of those stories that still doesn’t sit right with me. I don’t know how the app knew so much — or what I really agreed to when I tapped “Accept.”
