Shadow Communications Minister David Coleman says the Australian government should watch the US TikTok situation “very carefully”.
Mr Coleman’s remarks come after US Congress passed a bill to ban the social media app.
“We need to really watch this US situation very carefully,” he told Sky News host Erin Molan.
“The government needs to lean forward on this, make sure that Australians’ interests are protected, and make sure our data is safe.
“So, more for the government to do on this.”
