Finding enough space isn't easy.
Model railways take up a lot of space, so a shed can make a good 'Den'
This is mine that has been left with very few visits since November, rain and cold weather are not nice in an unheated shed.
The Chalkhill Yard was built on two cut down flush panel doors. Although quality running in compromised by the use of insulated frog set-track points they were inherited and didn't cost me a penny. In truth I should have gone for quality over cost.
It certainly gives me parking space for close on 50 wagons and can still be used to shuffle them around.
I have in the past been asked How Many layouts do I have ?
St Oval in my garage and Two Short Planks in the loft, then North Circular Mountain Railway in the second bedroom, with Roundabout sitting by my computer. Mmmmm a question. How Much IS Too Much ??
