The purpose of this day is to raise awareness about Leprosy (Hansen’s Disease) and to eliminate the stigma, discrimination, fear, and social exclusion faced by people affected by the disease.

Leprosy is: ✔️ Not a curse
✔️ Not a punishment
✔️ Not a reason to isolate or humiliate anyone
It is a completely curable medical condition.
Yet, millions continue to suffer not because of the disease itself, but because of: ❌ Social stigma
