Gate 1 had offered a day tour of Salzburg as part of the shore excursions.
We were taken to Salzburg by a coach from the port on Danube river. First stop on the tour was the moon lake. Moon lake and the surrounding area was made famous by the movie - Sound of Music.
The coach dropped us at a convenient point in the city from where our walking tour commenced.
We covered many places of interest including the Mirabel garden, Dwarf Park, Mozart’s birth place and the place where his family lived in his youth.
Due to the shortage of time, we did not go to the top of Salzburg castle.
After the wonderful day trip, we were dropped off at the Passau port in Germany.
