Babybelles presents two call and response songs for children, titled Funga Alafia and Li'l Liza Jane. These songs both share the same melody and have been split into two screens for ease of learning both parts.

Funga Alafia is often quoted as coming from West Africa / Liberia / Nigeria / the Yoruba people, but the version above is credited to Larocque Bey, a talented and creative African American choreographer, dancer, percussionist, composer, and founder of the Harlem dance school and theater bearing his name. "Funga Alafia" is a colloquial American phrase for "We welcome you". The word "Fanga" with an "a" on the other hand, comes from West African Mandingo lingo, from Bambara and Kaado languages in Mali, as well as a word in Vai (Liberia), Fanga means "power" or "force". It also describes a type of rhythm and subsequent dance. The words "alafia" and "ase" are from the Yoruba people of Nigeria, and may possibly be derived from Arabic. Alafia is not generally a word for greeting in Africa, but has been warmly embraced in American culture since the late 1960s, with song credits correctly given to Larocque Bey.
