AMD Ryzen 7 4700G Desktop APU Spotted! Intel’s DG1 Gets an Upgrade!

Описание: Let’s get started with AMD! after the company released their latest Renoir mobile chips, you might have wondered something. Why aren’t they porting them to desktop? 8 cores,16 threads, higher clocks, and integrated graphics? That would be the perfect CPU to buy if you were not planning on buying a GPU right away.

Well, it looks like AMD is doing exactly that! Spotted by Rogame on twitter, A Ashes of the singularity benchmark was logged with a brand new APU. The 4700g. This is the first time AMD introduced “Ryzen 7” in their APU line for desktops. In terms of specs, we know its an 8 core with SMT, and if this chip is the same one that was spotted a day or 2 ago, we can expect a base clock of 3.5Ghz. We dont know what the boost clock is just yet, but you can expect something north of 4Ghz. As for the Integrated graphics, it should be clocked at 1750Mhz which is the same clock speeds as the 4800U’s vega chip. Unfortunately, we dont know how many CU’s AMD plans on putting in there, but since the last-gen 3400G has 11 vega CU’s, I would expect at least the same from the 4700G. According to rogame, another 8 core APU with lower clocks will also make an appearance.
If all goes well, we should expect this new APU to pop up around the end of Q3.
