My dog Django suffered a heat stroke late in the day on a Friday afternoon. It was around 7:30pm when it occurred. The very necessary measure's I took saved his life! In the event your dog is showing any signs of distress in his breathing due to heat exposure you should immediately start cooling your dog down with a cold hose or cold shower. Slowly add ice but not too much at one time. Comfort your best friend to calm them, this can be a very scary experience. Once your dog starts showing signs he can breathe better, get him to the vet asap!!! During this video I had a licensed professional guiding my every move! had he not come around as fast as he did he would have been rushed to the ER! Never take the chance of "hoping it will get better" or "he going to be fine he can breathe now" Heat stroke damages internal organs and even if your dog starts showing signs of improvement they need to see a vet immediately! Blood work needs to be done to show how much damage was done. In Djangos case he one lucky doggo! He has made a full recovery!
