In this video I'll be removing the roof and replacing the drip pans on my 1999 Porsche 986 Boxster. Before I bought the car, someone allowed a large plastic piece to fall into the driver side drip pan. Then when they lowered the top it was compressed and pushed through the foam. The passenger side had a couple of small holes because of a broken linkage from the clam shell. I found both replacements on eBay for around $50.00 each.
During a test drive I noticed the carpet behind the drivers seat was damp. I warned the dealer that they needed to keep the car out of the weather, but they didn't listen. When I went back to purchase the car the carpet had standing water and the immobilizer was ruined. A couple weeks later they had it replaced, I got the car, removed the drivers seat, and proceeded to dry the carpet. It took several days with a shop vac and fans to get it completely dry, but now all is good and no smell.
