The New York Times reports that a Chinese bidder snatched up Picasso's "Femme Lisant for a whopping $21.3 million at Sotheby's spring auction. But demand for western art doesn't end at famous paintings. Reuters reports Chinese collectors today are looking for everything from sports memorabilia to Elvis tracks which hit the auction block in Hong Kong last month. And getting their hands on such items has become easier recently with big auction companies like Sotheby's snf Chrisites asserting to their presence in places like Shanghai and Hong Kong.
