On January 13th… Bengaluru witnessed something truly extraordinary.
A celebration of culture, a celebration of tradition, and a celebration of Indian pride.
Welcome… to Culture and Couture. At the Sheraton Grand Hotel, young women walked the ramp draped in exquisite Indian sarees and adorned with stunning jewellery. But this was not just another fashion show.
This was India redefining fashion— our culture, our designs, our identity… showcased with pride.
Unlike many international shows, Culture and Couture focused entirely on Indian heritage— from the fabrics to the motifs, from the colours to the craftsmanship. Many people still believe that fashion is something borrowed from the West. That style belongs only to foreign brands.
But events like Culture and Couture prove one thing again and again— India has always been a trendsetter.
For centuries, our traditional wear has been admired worldwide. And through this event, Aditi Collections took a powerful step to bring India’s fashion culture to global attention. Do you know? Aditi Collections is one of India’s prominent clothing retailer associations. What made this event even more special was the unity— entrepreneurs, sellers, and distributors from the association came together to support this grand showcase.
Their latest saree designs were presented on the ramp— and each look told a story of tradition blended with modern elegance. The spectacular execution of this show was made possible by
Scruples Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and its Managing Director Nagananda, who, along with his team, worked tirelessly to bring this cultural celebration to life.
Whether it was the grace of Mysore silk… the elegance of Kanchipuram designs… or the vibrant charm of Rajasthani styles… every saree lit up the stage. The ramp was filled with colour, craftsmanship, and confidence. This show celebrated the true soul of Indian textiles.
The message behind Culture and Couture was loud and clear— Our country. Our culture. Our pride. That’s why leading brands came together:
Malabar Jewellers as co-sponsor
Duvi Custom Clothing & Gifting
Lakme as styling partner
Sheraton Grand Hotel as venue partner
Speaking about the vision, organizer Nagananda said: “It is better to wear clothes made in our own country. Just as Prime Minister Modi encourages ‘Make in India,’ we too are promoting authentic, indigenous fashion.” Many renowned retail houses stepped forward to support the event— Ratna Silks, Sudarshan Silks, Kanchipuram Silks, Malabar Jewellers and several others. Their collaboration emphasized one thing— South India stands strong in preserving and promoting our cultural fashion. Culture and Couture wasn’t just a fashion show. It was a tribute… a tribute to every Indian woman, every artisan, every tradition, and to the beauty of Indian culture. A grand event that proved— India doesn’t follow fashion. India creates fashion.
