Can you spot yourself?
The town of Bentham in North Yorkshire knows how to pull together. Despite losing in the Portas Pilot scheme the town shows it can put on a bit of a do. On a beautifully sunny day several hundred people lined and marched through the town with the Queen (Lizzie Starr) as the figurehead. Many thanks must go to Ali Clough, Lynda Graveson and all the volunteers and staff at Pioneer Projects / The Looking Well in High Bentham,
Thanks to the efforts of the Mayor and Town Council the day was capped by 400 people near Big Stone as the beacon was lit.
The beacon marked the end of a fantastic week in Bentham; 509 Arts with the My Last Car production, Car Bizarre and CARnival. Well done all involved.
