I only have single phase 220v power in my shop but I recently acquired this very cool old Delta/Rockwell Drill press. The original 3 phase industrial 1/2 HP motor was still with the machine so I did some digging as to how I could keep the press original and use it in my shop. That's where the VFD comes in. I'll demonstrate how I wired this machine to the VFD as well as a brief overview of the machine.
