#AncientHumansStartWearingClothes #ancientclothing #ancienthumans When ancient humans first started wearing clothes is something I think about every cold morning reaching for a coat. I picture early humans and prehistoric humans, ancestors of modern humans and Homo sapiens, wrapped in animal skins and hides for warmth and protection against Ice Age cold and cold weather that could mean survival or not. Wear, clothes, clothing, garments, apparel, dressed - call it what you like, turning leather, fur, and fabric into real textiles took sewing long before anyone studied human evolution. Ancient humans wearing clothes, why humans wear clothes, ancient clothing, and prehistoric clothing all trace back to the same ancient history and human origins, the kind of anthropology, evolution explained, history explained stuff I never stopped wondering about.

02:00 Why I started wondering when clothing began
07:00 What the archaeological evidence actually shows
13:00 How lice DNA and ancient tools point to the timing
19:00 What it tells us about survival and human evolution
