The Corolle company has been a well-known name in dolls in France for a long time and the most recent addition to their catalogue of doll brands is "Corolle Girls", these are cute, realistic 28cm dolls who represent a range of girls of around 12 years old. They come with cute and on-trend fashions and represent a diverse range of modern interests. These dolls are readily available in stores across France and Europe and can also be purchased from online giants like Amazon, Fnac and other toy store brands. They are a similar size range to compete with dolls like Wellie Wishers and Hearts for Hearts who often represent younger sister dolls to the larger sizes, but generally I feel that the proportions of these new dolls is more realistic and has a real charm to it.
I was very interested to open this doll as this line seems to replace the very popular "Les Cheries" dolls who were produced by Corolle for a long time and have a real collector popularity, so I was intrigued as to whether the quality of these new dolls would live up to this reputation. I chose this model "Luna a la plage" (Luna at the beach) because she has proper feet, as the shoes are built into the doll's legs in a way that didn't really appeal to me.
