Videos continue to circulate online show intense moments in Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara.
Vehicles and businesses were destroyed during many fires set across the region.
The attacks came after the killing of Jalisco New Generation Cartel leader Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, known as El Mancho.
Despite the unrest, passengers at Portland International Airport were eager to hop onboard a Volaris flight to Guadalajara on Monday night after that same flight was canceled the night before.
