Rapides Early Childhood Education Fund Initiative: Better Together

Описание: In the 2024-2025 academic year, the Rapides Early Childhood Network (RECN) united with a broad coalition of community partners to leverage state funding through the Early Childhood Education Fund. A host of community partners including The Rapides Foundation, Rotary Club of Alexandria, and over 50 local investors, rallied together resulting in providing 360 scholarships for families that need it most. This inspiring collaboration expanded access to high-quality early care for children from birth to age 3, underscoring the power of public-private partnerships to invest in the future of central Louisiana. Over $4.7 million was awarded to RECN in 2024-2025 and our future looks bright as we have secured a three-year plan to sustain the initial investment. Thanks to the unwavering commitment of these partners, more children now have the opportunity to thrive in nurturing environments that support their development and learning. For fiscal years 2025-2028, The Rapides Foundation has awarded a three-year base investment and a local funding challenge to leverage Louisiana's ECE State and Local Match program — a bold step forward that promises lasting impact for generations to come. Together, we are building a brighter future for Rapides' youngest learners, one child at a time!
