Описание: This Out-of-Sequence Video is for my Wanderlodge friends who will be attending Chris's Rocky Mountain High Rally near Taylor Park Reservoir in Colorado, and the Trading Post. It was done to reassure you that any large rig can travel over Cottonwood Pass without difficulty, in season. Large semi trucks make deliveries via this route all the time.

This CR306 Cottonwood Pass road video begins as we are approaching a Buena Vista City Market for last minute groceries. That market and parking lot was PACKED and way-too small for the coach. So I parked across the street and did my shopping quickly. Then it was time to pull out and begin our trip up the hill. My recommendations are: 1) If coming from points East, definitely consider this route versus the one I took last year over Monarch Pass and through Gunnison. It is much shorter and the road was recently upgraded. It really was a very smooth road! However, it is also steep on both sides of the pass. So be sure your braking system AND Jake/Engine brake systems are in good working order. You’ll also want to use proper large vehicle braking techniques. Chris says he has done the Cottonwood Pass route in his coach many times with no problems. See you there!
