പ്രേതപ്പാവയുടെ രൂപസാദൃശ്യമുണ്ടായിട്ടും 'ലബൂബു' എന്ന പാവ ലോകമെമ്പാടും വലിയ തരംഗമായി മാറിയിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ഹോങ്കോങ് ആർട്ടിസ്റ്റ് കാസിംഗ് ലംഗ് രൂപകൽപ്പന ചെയ്ത ഈ പാവകൾക്ക് വലിയ ചെവികളും കൂർത്ത പല്ലുകളും കുസൃതിയുള്ള ഭാവവുമാണുള്ളത്. 2019-ൽ ചൈനീസ് റീട്ടെയിലറായ പോപ് മാർട്ടുമായുള്ള സഹകരണത്തോടെ "ബ്ലൈൻഡ് ബോക്സ്" കളക്ടബിളുകളായി ഇവ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയതോടെയാണ് ലബൂബുവിന്റെ പ്രശസ്തി വർദ്ധിച്ചത്. കറുത്തലിങ്ക് (BLACKPINK) അംഗം ലിസ ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള സെലിബ്രിറ്റികൾ ലബൂബു പാവകളുമായി പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടത് ഇവയുടെ ജനപ്രീതി കുത്തനെ ഉയർത്തി. ഇപ്പോൾ ഇത് ലക്ഷക്കണക്കിന് രൂപയ്ക്ക് പോലും ലേലം ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട്.

Despite its somewhat eerie, "ghost-like" appearance, the 'Labubu' doll has become a global sensation. Designed by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung, these dolls feature large ears, jagged teeth, and a mischievous expression. Labubu's popularity surged after its release in 2019 as "blind box" collectibles through a collaboration with Chinese retailer Pop Mart. The doll gained significant traction after celebrities, including BLACKPINK member Lisa, were seen with Labubu figures. Some rare editions are now being auctioned for hundreds of thousands of rupees.
