Join the ThrillGuys on our final on-ride experience aboard Jet Star II at Lagoon. Designed by legendary coaster engineer Anton Schwarzkopf and introduced in 1976, this compact steel classic made its last ride on November 10, 2025, before being torn down and retired. With nearly five decades of service, Jet Star II has been a beloved part of Lagoon’s skyline and a rite of passage for generations of Utah thrill-seekers.

In this video, we take you along for a full on-ride reaction and share what made Jet Star II so memorable: its iconic spiral lift, tight turns, compact layout, and surprisingly smooth ride feel. All hallmarks of Schwarzkopf engineering. We reflect on the coaster’s long history, its place within Lagoon’s lineup, and its bittersweet retirement. We also talk about what this ride meant to us personally.
