On Sept. 19 2024, former Washington Post and Boston Globe editor Marty Baron was the featured guest of the Deanne Gebell Gitner Storytelling Symposium, where he spoke in a wide-ranging discussion about newsroom economics, ethics and leadership.
Baron also discussed his most recent book: “Collision of Power: Trump, Bezos, and The Washington Post,” released October 2023.
Aileen Gallagher, associate dean for academic affairs and professor of magazine, news and digital journalism, moderated the conversation.
The Gitner Symposium was established in honor of associate professor Seth Gitner’s late mother. The symposium supports student access to industry expertise and celebrates storytelling.
