Love Story is a 1970 American romantic drama film written by Erich Segal, who was also the author of the best-selling novel of the same name. It was produced by Howard G. Minsky and directed by Arthur Hiller and starred Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal, alongside John Marley, Ray Milland, and Tommy Lee Jones in his film debut in a minor role.
Love Story è un film drammatico del 1970 diretto da Arthur Hiller.
Il film, che fu un cult movie degli anni settanta, fu il maggior successo della Paramount Pictures fino a quel momento. Ricevette 7 nomination (tra cui Miglior Film) e vinse un Oscar per la musica di Francis Lai. Durante le riprese del film Erich Segal scrisse in contemporanea il best seller tratto dalla sua stessa sceneggiatura. Nel 1978 venne realizzato anche un sequel, Oliver's Story.
