In this vlog, we are sharing our divine family trip to Chitrakoot Dham on the holy occasion of Basant Panchami. 🌼✨
We started our spiritual journey with a sacred snan (holy bath) at Ram Ghat, feeling blessed and peaceful in the holy waters. On this special day, we also performed the traditional nose and ear piercing ritual, making it a memorable and emotional family moment.
After that, we took the blessings of Lord Shiv Ji and then completed the sacred Kamtanath Parikrama. During the parikrama, we saw so many beautiful temples and experienced the lively presence of many monkeys along the path. 🐒🙏 The entire atmosphere was filled with devotion, chants, and positive energy.

Story of Shri Ram in Chitrakoot:


Chitrakoot holds a very special place in the story of Shri Ram. During his 14 years of exile (Vanvaas), Lord Ram, Mata Sita, and Lakshman stayed in Chitrakoot for a long time. It is believed that this is the place where Bharat came to meet Shri Ram and requested him to return to Ayodhya and take the throne.
However, Shri Ram refused because he wanted to fulfill his father’s promise. Bharat then took Shri Ram’s wooden sandals (Khadaun) and placed them on the throne of Ayodhya, ruling as his representative. This shows the deep love, sacrifice, and dharma followed by Shri Ram and his family.
Because of this divine history, Chitrakoot is considered a land blessed by the footsteps of Lord Ram.

Basant Panchami marks the arrival of spring and is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom, knowledge, and arts. Taking a holy bath (snan) on this day in sacred places like Ram Ghat is believed to:
