The location that picked this up was rural Upstate NY. This was some Tropo from CIII-TV-2 in Bancroft, Ontario, Canada. This was New Year’s Eve in 2020–a few hours until 2021. This is one of the last remaining analog transmitters in Canada, let alone the U.S.
FYI: High Power analog stations have been off the air since 2009 in the U.S. Low power stations have until July 13 2021 to turn off their analog TV transmitters. This is not a station broadcasting from the U.S, but rather a Canadian station from 200 miles away. Most Canadian stations in urban areas have switched to digital broadcasts but many in rural areas haven’t. This is an example of a rural broadcast. All Canadian analog stations will have to be off the air sometime in 2022.
