Young people deserve a seat at the table—especially when decisions impact their mental health, education, and future.
In this informational session, Mental Health America Wabash Valley Region (MHA-WVR) introduces its **Youth Advisory Councils (YACs)**—student-led groups forming across our region that empower youth to speak up, lead, and advocate for change at the local and state level.
You’ll learn:
What a Youth Advisory Council is and how it works
How students can get involved in their county
The role of mentors and community partners
How youth voices are shaping policy, leadership, and mental health advocacy in Indiana
