I'm busy this week, so have a refilm of this elevator, almost one year after.
It's an ATLAS Classe A in a small gallery/offices building, with a pretty epic motor and the touch-sensitive buttons, which are not only uncommon to be found in my area, but rare to find in these smaller installs (less than 10 floors and/or single car) overall. That makes this special and very worthy of refilming (as well as being easy to access).
It's previous video has a lot more info about it in the description, check it out:
• Door Issues! Epic ATLAS ACBB Traction Elev...
This time, they finally fixed the doors! Now they don't sound like a crying dog or a balloon being emptied when opening or closing. That allowed for a pretty good recording of the sound of this motor. The "Definitive" one, if you will.
Appears that they also de-inverted the call station on the ground level (T), which had been mounted upside down in the previous time I came here. Was noticeable from the inverted logo in the middle, and by that calling it for up would tell it that it was for down, and vice-versa. This ruined the traffic management for the elevator and for users, it's terrible in a selective system like this.
It also still has the door sensor that sounds like its on it's last leg. Just hear that!
Could have had the opportunity to replace some burnt microbulbs in the indicators too, but it's nothing too major.
Now a little question for whoever might know: is this a DC motor? It sounds to me like one, but Villares didn't tend to use those in their elevators. Most Classe As all had AC motors, the only major DC component was the door operator system, famous for it's pulsing.
If you know the answer to this questipn, please comment it!
