A bunch of us from across India got together to see how this beautiful North-Eastern gin is made, taste their brand-new berry gin, and end the night with local food, music, and a full-blown vibe.

From the moment I walked into the distillery, the air smelled of botanicals—juniper, local citrus, aromatic herbs, and of course, the new berry notes. I take you through the entire process: how they choose botanicals, charge the still, run the distillation, and cut the heart of the gin. You’ll see the stills in action, the vapor path, and how a clear neutral spirit slowly transforms into something full of character.

Then we move into the tasting and launch of their new berry gin expression. I share my notes on the nose, palate, and finish—how the berry sweetness plays with the juniper, how the local botanicals add freshness, and how it all stands up in a simple G&T. You’ll also see how other creators react to it, what serves we tried, and which garnish actually made it pop.

The evening ends with what the North-East does best: community and culture. There’s local food—think grilled meats, smoky pork, bamboo shoot, chutneys, momos—and a live performance that turns the distillery into a mini festival. I show you the ambience, the crowd, the music, and the kind of energy these smaller, craft Indian distilleries are bringing to the scene.
