But as Leo pushed the door open, the silence was deafening. Neighbors stood in hushed grief. His father lay still, gone forever. On the side table sat those same old, taped-up glasses… next to a cold cup of coffee.
Leo found his father’s journal. The last entry read: "Leo got his dream job today. My eyes are failing, but I don’t need glasses to see how bright his future is. That’s all the sight I ever needed."
