The next man-eating tiger is to be found near the Himalayas on cliffs near the Kosi River and fifteen miles from Corbett's summer home. A woman is attacked four miles from her village and the villagers are terrified. The injured woman is brought back to the village and tells her story to Mothi Singh, a friend of Major Corbett's; she later dies. The woman is the first human killed by The Mohan Man-Eater.
