This is Akashima island, but it looks more like a huge rock than an island.
The rough waves of the Sea of Japan hitting the rocks felt powerful and beautiful.
This area is part of Daisen-Oki National Park.
Daisen-Oki National Park is a national park located across three prefectures: Tottori, Shimane, and Okayama.
Daisen-Oki National Park can be broadly divided into four areas: the Daisen Hiruzen area, the Oki area, the Shimane Peninsula area, and the Mt. Sanbe area.This is the Shimane Peninsula area, which has been designated as a special area by the Ministry of the Environment.
This is Yashima island. You can see "sea caves," which are tunnel-like holes cut through by the rough waves of the Sea of Japan.
I was impressed by the dynamic scenery of these sunken beaches and sea cliffs.
