Naran to Astore and Rama Meadows | Gilgit Baltistan

Day-2 starred with a beautiful and cold morning in Jalkhad. Making maximum use of the sunlight, we started early in the morning with breakfast from Moon restaurant, Behsal and continued our long journey to Astore and #Rama_Meadows passing through the most beautiful areas of Kaghan Valley like Lulusar Lake, Gottidas plains and #Babusar_top. First part of the journey up to babusar valley was so much mesmerising and eye catching, it felt like a recreation instead of journey but the aah, the 2nd and long part was hot and tiring. This tiring journey started from Chilas and ended at #Astore. One thing worth mentioning is the newly built road from Chilas to Raikot. This was unbelievable for us because we saw it new for the first time during last ten years. However, some part is remaining near Tatta pani, the area prone to landslides and blockades. We observed extreme temperature in Chilas, Raikot, Jaglot and 32km after Jaglot. Change in weather and temperature was observed when we were close to Astore and of course after Astore, the weather changed drastically when we climbed up from 7000 ft to 11000 ft to reach Rama meadows, a heavenly place to spend a night with multiple sceneries of nature. Rama meadows was the final destination and we really enjoyed a night around bonfire and then in camp.
