Your windshield wipers should be replaced if you see streaks on the windshield as it rains.
Of course the wiper motor and the wiper transmission must function properly for the entire swept portion of the windshield to be wiped of water. If the either the wiper motor of the transmission fails then you must replace them. In many states the wipers must function in order for a car to pass an annual or bi-annual safety inspection program. In this tech article we are going to go over all of the steps necessary to replace the wiper blades, the wiper motor and the transmission.
Wiper blade replacing:
If you are a second owner of the car then keep in mind someone may have already have changed the blades and new, different fittings may hold on the wiper blade. We are covering an example that is on our car.
