Nigeria’s Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, reveals major progress on the ongoing federal road project, highlighting the completion of 118 kilometers in just 14 months—compared to only 240 kilometers achieved over nine years previously. The ₦252 billion project has already received 50% funding from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, demonstrating the administration’s strong commitment to infrastructure development.
Umahi also announced the extension of the Kano road project by 12 kilometers toward Aminu Kano International Airport, with 17 kilometers already completed and equipped with modern solar street lighting. The Minister assured Nigerians that the project will be ready for commissioning by April 2026 and encouraged the public to visit the site and witness the quality of work firsthand.
