Описание: The University of Miami's Center for Global Black Studies highlights the work of recent Summer Grant Research recipients who are making strides in their field. We sat with Fatima Abubakar Rasheed, a physician, OB-GYN, and a PhD student in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the University of Miami, who works under the mentorship of Professor Sophia George Ph.D at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Her research focuses on rare ovarian cancers among women of African ancestry, an area that remains severely understudied in global cancer genomics.
