Baldur's Gate 3 Honour Mode | Halsin's Shadow Portal

In all my previous Honour Mode runs, I’ve always skipped the grove and Halsin. This time, however, I finally defended his shadow portal—though I’ll admit, there were a few hectic moments! Still, thanks to solid builds and great gear, it all ended on a satisfying note :)

The Dark Urge : 5 Ranger / 3 Rogue

Shadowheart : 8 Light Domain Cleric

Astarion : 8 Open-Hand Monk

Wyll : 8 Divination Wizard

✦ EXPLANATION & MISTAKES I MADE ✦

» In this Honour Mode, I have a 'Camp Buffer': Gale, 8 Light Domain Cleric, who provides 'Until Long Rest' spells. Warding Bond, Freedom of Movement and Aid help a ton in battle!
(Take note, concentration spells won't work after you dismissed them)

» At the beginning of the preparation, Shadowheart drank a Potion of Angelic Slumber to regain all of her spell slots.

» I didn't realize that the ice surface melts when you use fire damage until mid-way through the battle! That said, it also lasts for 2 turns.

» Make sure Shadowheart casts Spirit Guardian first before the battle. Likewise with Dark Urge and the Elixir of Bloodlust.

» I'd consider finding a better bow for Shadowheart and/or Astarion. Mine is what I have at the moment.

» My dumbass forgot that Astarion has Freedom of Movement buff from Gale, so swapping the boots with Wyll isn't necessary. Yet, "Hoarfrost Boots" are perfect for this if you don't have the aforementioned buff.

» The Deathstalker Mantle is exclusive to Dark Urge only.

» For Titanstring Bow, I used Drakethroat Glaive (bought from Roah Moonglow in Moonrise Towers) to infuse it with Draconic Elemental. I picked Thunder.

» Clinging Shadow buff : buy Shadeclinger Armour from Quatermaster Talli. Equip, hide in an obsecured area, unhide, unequip, and equip any armour you want. The buff should last until long rest.
