Mark Kelley (Brooklyn, New York) is the bassist for the legendary Roots crew, one of the best known and most respected hip-hop acts in the business. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, Mark started his musical career touring with John Scofield and Meshell Ndegeocello, subbing occasionally with pop, hip-hop, and R&B stars such as Mariah Carey, Mos Def, and others. Mark and The Roots are featured nightly as the the official house band on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
