The Last Light
The Last Light sounds simple until you sit with it long enough.
If you’ve lived deeply, you start to understand there are different kinds of light.
There’s the obvious light: sunrise breaking through a window, a street lamp glowing in silence, headlights glaring at you as you drive on the highway haha.
But there’s another kind of light.
The light that shows you what’s in front of you.
The one that shows up when everything else falls apart.
When plans collapse.
When timelines break.
When love shifts shape.
When the version of you that felt stable suddenly isn’t.
That light belongs to YOU.
And when you understand that, everything changes.
Most people spend their entire lives searching outward.
A person will save me...
Money will save me...
Success will save me....
A new environment will save me....
A better image will save me....
If you don’t find the light inside you, you’ll keep chasing shadows with both eyes, when in fact - you never needed eyes to see the light.
"The Last Light" is the realization that the light was never somewhere ahead of you. It was something within you waiting to be remembered.
You don’t always remember it in comfort. It becomes clearer in contrast.
That’s why the darkness is important. Darkness isn’t just pain. It’s the absence of illusion. The loss of light.
It’s where distractions stop working. Where noise can’t drown out truth.
Where performance loses its power. Where you either turn INWARD… or you fracture.
Most people don’t actually fear failure. They fear SILENCE (darkness).
Because silence forces you to hear what your soul has been whispering.
When life gets heavy, the only thing that has ever truly worked for me is this:
Become silent.
Pray.
Seek within.
Then your life will magically shift.
You reconnect with what cannot be taken from you.
Your inner light.
Your north star.
Call it faith. Call it truth. Call it God. Call it the part of you that refuses to die even when everything else feels unstable. That’s The Last light.
When light is present, you see the universe more clearly, even through the vast darkness that surrounds.
Clarity usually arrives after enough darkness.
Some people come out of pain wiser, softer, more awake. Others come out hardened. Same darkness. Different response. Darkness can initiate you… or it can harden you.
So what are you doing with yours?
Are you letting it refine you?
Are you letting it teach you what actually matters?
Or are you numbing it long enough to say it’s over?
Life doesn’t just test you with hard times. Life tests whether you can find the light through them. That’s what this track represents.
Not perfection. Just, presence.
I left the imperfections in because life isn’t polished. A note leans too far. A phrase breathes longer than expected. There are moments that aren’t technically “correct.”
But they’re real.
They say: I was here. I felt this. I didn’t hide from it.
And that’s what I want someone listening to feel.
Not “this is flawless.” But, “I recognize that.”
Because if you’ve ever been tired and refused to quit… you understand.
One moment you’re steady.
Next moment remembering.
Next moment grieving.
Next moment grateful.
Next moment humbled because you’re still breathing.
That range isn’t chaos. It’s integration. It’s the soul digesting experience. The light isn’t a reward at the end for being perfect. It’s guidance discovered when you stop running from your own depth.
When you find it, you still struggle, but you don’t lose yourself the same way. You still get hit, but you don’t stay down the same way. You still feel pain, but you don’t confuse pain with meaninglessness.
Darkness tries to convince you it’s the final truth.
It isn’t.
Darkness is temporary.
Truth is light.
Love is light.
God is light.
“Let there be light” isn’t just the beginning of the world.
It’s the beginning of awakening: and it happens over and over in a human life.
It happens when you stop lying to yourself.
When you forgive and free yourself.
When you rebuild without resentment.
When you choose faith without visible proof.
When you remember your worth is not tied to outcomes.
This is creation.
That is becoming.
So if you’re in a dark season, hear this clearly:
Don’t confuse your current chapter with your identity. Get quiet. Pray. Seek within.
Find the light that is still there, even if it feels small!!
A little light is all you need :)
That’s why I called it The Last Light. Because, when you find the light inside you, you stop begging the world to save you. You stop outsourcing your peace. You stop waiting for permission to become who you already are.
And that’s when your true journey begins.
Be Love & Light.
