Bench test and pre-repair inspection of Tony M's 87 Bronco 5.0L Ford reman X9J engine computer. Customer complaint is injectors #2 and #7 are stuck open, even after replacing all the injectors.
This PCM is batch fire, meaning injectors 1, 4, 5, and 8 are batch #1 and 2, 3, 6, and 7 are batch #2. So the two stuck on injectors are on the same batch, but different engine banks. The first batch is the outer 4 corner cylinders, the second batch is the inner 4 cylinders.
Side note: With a 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 firing order, the actual cylinder firing order is left, right, left, left, right, left, right, right. That's because it's not a flat plane crank!
