Amazing Talking KONE And Schindler Elevators, Royal Caribbean's Vision Of The Seas, Aft

Описание: Recorded December 17, 2025, Here we are back on another Royal Caribbean cruise ship, checking out the elevators, this time on one of their classic ships, Vision of the Seas. In this video, we’re focusing on the aft elevator banks, which serve decks 1 through 11.
The internal aft elevators were modernized at some point by KONE and feature both touchscreen call stations and touchscreen floor selection panels. These elevators are identical to the forward bank and serve decks 1 through 9.
Directly across from the internal elevators is a separate bank of two glass elevators. These operate on a different controller and, in addition to serving decks 1 through 9, also serve decks 10 and 11. What makes these especially exciting is that, at the time of filming, they are original and unmodernized. Even more rare, particularly on Royal Caribbean, these glass elevators were installed by Schindler. It was incredibly neat to find these late 1990s Schindler elevators still in place and running beautifully.
We begin the video with a brief ride on the internal aft elevators, then spend most of the time taking several trips on one of the Schindler glass elevators. Unfortunately, only one of the Schindlers has a working voice, but thankfully, we were able to ride that car.
Following the elevator rides, come along as we walk down to my cabin and do our traditional room unlock. To wrap things up, the video ends with a second, shorter ride on the talking Schindler, recorded a few days earlier when it was brighter outside.
