This is the Rheinmetall LLM01, or Light Laser Module 01. It has seen use with forces around Europe and honestly.... I can't tell you why. It is STILL in use by some and needs significant overhaul to compete with most other options on the market. HOWEVER, for the time it was made, it is robust. It works. I can't complain because it authenticates my kits a bit more.
Also, turns out, this is programmable. I only learned after filming, so refer to the spec sheet below to get an idea of switching modes.
