In this series, Dr. Adam Gower will go about explaining many important aspects of real estate investing that beginners need to know.

In today's video, we're going to be talking about investing in debt vs. equity and whether you should pick debt or equity for your real estate investment.

There are two options, simply stated, for what you can invest in when you invest in a real estate deal online; debt and equity. Debt is typically going to be collateralized by the property itself, and equity is not. Apart from different return expectations correlated with relative risk levels, the primary difference is in which type of investment holds the most power over the other.
