This is an UNRELEASED VERSION REFERENCE DEMO ACETATE for GLYN JOHNS 1968 IMMEDIATE RECORDS single !!!
JIMMY PAGE way before LED ZEPPELIN played guitars on these tracks and it was included in the: YOUR TIME IS GOONA COME: THE ROOTS OF LED ZEPPELIN 1964-1969 compilation !!!
The version of “LIKE GRAINS OF YELLOW SAND” is completely different on this ACETATE then the finished version without the orchestration and mainly JIMMY PAGE’s GUITAR and he also plays HARMONICA which is not on the finished release, you can just imagine JIMMY PAGE listening to this ACETATE and deciding to change the arrangement !!!
GLYN JOHNS was more known for his production and engineering with many bands such as LED ZEPPELIN, THE WHO, THE ROLLING STONES and THE EAGLES to name but a few, but earlier on he also released some single with no commercial success, this was his ONE AND ONLY SINGLE RELEASE on IMMEDIATE RECORDS !!!
This was an IMMEDIATE MUSIC PUBLISHING REFERENCE ACETATE (which I have bought the complete vinyl library from) hence you can see the IMMEDIATE MUSIC LIBRARY NUMBER written on the ACETATE IM 0329 !!!
