These German kids weren’t used to seeing a man with long hair and a bun; so what started as an amusement soon turned into bullying. But it didn’t take me long to stand up for myself. In fact, I think I even kicked one of them a little too hard under the knees. But that’s how I learned that the best way to treat bullies is by giving it back and standing up for yourself.”
