Описание: In this episode, we leave *Ketchikan, Alaska* and sail north through *Southeast Alaska* to the quiet, rain-soaked community of **Loring on Revillagigedo Island**. Surrounded by misty forests and calm anchorages, Loring feels suspended in time, shaped by salmon, tides, and weather.

Heavy *rain* follows us as we motor toward Loring. While I recover from being sick after traveling back from England, Dave explores the remains of this once-busy fishing town. Sailing while sick is never fun, and being confined to a boat during days of rain makes the contrast between rest and exploration especially sharp.

While anchored near Loring, we experience the stillness that defines much of *remote Southeast Alaska**, including a quiet moment ashore and a **black bear sighting* along the shoreline. With few people and little modern activity, the area offers a rare look at Alaska without crowds, noise, or infrastructure, just water, forest, and wildlife.

This episode is part of our ongoing **circumnavigation of Revillagigedo Island**, documenting life aboard our sailboat as we explore forgotten towns, remote anchorages, and the wild coastlines of Alaska.
