Project Bobby B is almost worthy enough to drive on the roads! Today we finally tackle what for me is a giant job and we weld in my driver side floor pans with my Gifted Harbor Freight Flux Core Welder. If you are going to try this I cant stress enough to upgrade your spool from the chicago electric spool in the box, it is crap. I went with the .030 Vulcan spool set at speed 4 on max power for the pan. Initially I was set at minimum as that worked when I practiced on scrap sheet metal, however when I got to the actual car it would penetrate the pan itself fine, but not the car.
